On June 29, Provincial Party Secretary Jiang Yikang and his team visited Liaocheng to conduct research on key enterprises such as Zhongtong Group. Accompanying the visit were Provincial Standing Committee Member and Vice Governor Yu Xiaoming, Director of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission Zhang Wufeng, Director of the Provincial Political Research Office Song Yushan, Director of the Provincial Economic and Information Commission Qian Huantao, Municipal Party Secretary Xu Jingyan, Mayor Wang Zhonglin, and Municipal Deputy Secretary Chen Ping. During the visit, Secretary Jiang and his team focused on visiting Zhongtong Group and held a symposium at Zhongtong Bus. Zhongtong Group Chairman Li Shupeng and Zhongtong Bus General Manager Sun Qingmin accompanied the visit and provided reports.
The person in charge of Zhongtong Bus introduced the basic situation of the enterprise, providing detailed reports on the effectiveness of Zhongtong's international development, the development in the field of new energy buses, and the production capacity and process equipment level of the new factory.
After listening to the report on Zhongtong's development situation, Secretary Jiang pointed out that Zhongtong Bus's ability to accelerate development in the context of industry decline is fully recognized, especially in terms of new energy development and overseas expansion. During the visit, he emphasized that Zhongtong should accelerate its development speed, enhance its development level, seize development opportunities, and strive to advance in the industry, particularly focusing on the development of new energy vehicles and overseas exports. Secondly, it is necessary to expedite the research and promotion of high-end business minibuses, ensuring that our high-end business minibuses surpass imported vehicles in assembly technology and quality, while also creating their own characteristics. For product promotion, trial operations can be conducted in the province first. Thirdly, in the promotion of new energy vehicles, the province will fully support outstanding local enterprises. During the visit, Secretary Jiang also gained an in-depth understanding of Zhongtong Bus's industry share, export advantages, market prospects for RVs, and the development of the bus industry.
After visiting the site, Secretary Jiang and his team took a test ride on the new energy buses created for Liaocheng and attended a corporate symposium held on the second floor of the company's technology building. Group Chairman Li participated in the symposium. After listening to reports from Liaocheng's Secretary Xu Jingyan and representatives of various enterprises, Secretary Jiang made instructions, requiring Liaocheng and its entrepreneurs to accelerate innovation-driven development, create a favorable development environment, and properly plan the 13th Five-Year Development Strategy.
