History


In August 1958, the Liaocheng Industrial Bureau allocated 3,000 yuan to establish the Liaocheng Vehicle Repair Factory.

In August 1960, the enterprise was changed to Liaocheng Technical Workers' School.

In September 1962, the Liaocheng Vehicle Repair Factory was restored.

In January 1964, it was renamed the Agricultural Machinery Repair and Cooperative Society.

In October 1965, it was placed under the direct jurisdiction of the regional transportation bureau and renamed "Liaocheng Commissioner’s Office Transportation Bureau Vehicle Manufacturing and Repair Factory."

In April 1976, the new factory area at No. 10 East Construction Road was put into use.

In May 1978, the enterprise was divided into "Liaocheng Regional Transportation Bureau Bus Factory" and "Liaocheng Regional Transportation Bureau Automobile Repair Factory."

In July 1984, the two factories merged to form a provincial transportation department enterprise, "Shandong Province Liaocheng Bus Factory."

In February 1991, Shandong Province Liaocheng Bus Factory and Hong Kong Guangyongyu jointly established "Liaocheng Yongyu Automobile Maintenance Co., Ltd.,” becoming the first Sino-foreign joint venture in Liaocheng.

In September 1993, it merged with Liaocheng Transport Company No. 5 to establish Liaocheng Long-distance Transport Company.

In 1994, in cooperation with China Highway Machinery Vehicle Corporation and Heavy-duty Truck Group Company, it initiated the establishment of "Shandong Bus Co., Ltd." through targeted fundraising.

In May 1995, Zhongtong Property Management Company was established.

In October 1997, Shandong Province Liaocheng Bus Factory was restructured into Shandong Liaocheng Bus Industrial Group Co., Ltd.

In April 1998, Shandong Bus Co., Ltd. was renamed Zhongtong Bus Co., Ltd.

On November 16, 1998, with the approval of the provincial transportation department, Qingdao Engine Factory was fully merged into Shandong Liaocheng Bus Industrial Group Co., Ltd.

In August 1999, Liaocheng Dongyue Light Steel Construction Manufacturing Company was established; in June 2000, it was renamed Zhongtong Steel Structure Construction Company.

On January 13, 2000, "Zhongtong Bus" stocks were listed and traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

In May 2001, Zhongtong Real Estate Development Company was established.

In June 2001, the Group's Special Vehicle Company was established.

In September 2001, the Group's Special Purpose Vehicle Company was established.

On November 16, 2002, Zhongtong Group's Zhongtong Real Estate Company and Hong Kong Times Development Co., Ltd. jointly established Zhongtong Times Real Estate Development Co., Ltd.

In 2003, Yanggu Zhongtong Special Vehicle Company was established.

On May 18, 2003, the chassis production line of Liaoke Group broke ground in the Liaocheng Economic Development Zone.

On April 26, 2004, Shandong Liaocheng Bus Industrial Group Co., Ltd. relocated to No. 9 Zhonghua North Road, Liaocheng Economic Development Zone.

On June 5, 2004, Xinjiang Zhongtong Bus Company was officially established.

On June 8, 2006, Shandong Liaocheng Bus Industrial Group Co., Ltd. was renamed Zhongtong Automobile Industrial Group Co., Ltd.
