To commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Youth League and the 95th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, we aim to establish and promote outstanding youth role models that have emerged during the comprehensive reform process of the group company, vigorously promoting the corporate spirit of "dedication, contribution, resilience, and progress." In the journey of "enriching employees and strengthening enterprises," we strive to achieve new accomplishments and establish new businesses. Through layers of selection and recommendation from various units, as well as preliminary and final evaluations by the group, the first ZTO Youth May Fourth Medal selection has successfully concluded. Liu Jin, Yang Zhenmin, Liu Chunjun, and Zhang Jianwei from the Steel Structure Company, Wang Chengfeng from the Bus Company, Wang Feng from the Real Estate Company, Xin Yong and Wang Chunrong from the Logistics Company, Liu Ying from the Sanitation Vehicle Company, and Zhang Zhenghui from the Special Vehicle Company have been awarded the first ZTO Youth May Fourth Medal. Group General Manager Mi Baolun attended the final evaluation meeting, presented awards to the winners, and delivered an important speech.
At the final evaluation meeting of the ZTO Youth May Fourth Medal held on May 4th, 20 candidates who entered the second round delivered their campaign speeches in turn. The judging panel, composed of 13 representatives from the party organizations of various units and advanced collectives and individuals at the municipal level and above, provided objective and fair evaluations of the candidates. During the meeting, Assistant General Manager Gao Qingshan delivered a special report titled "Be a Cultured ZTO Youth," explaining the necessity and urgency of being a cultured ZTO youth from five aspects: possessing strong work capabilities, having certain etiquette knowledge, actively practicing corporate culture, establishing a positive core value system, and learning more about traditional Chinese culture. Gao shared his insights and knowledge with everyone, and the applause several times showed appreciation for his report.
At the end of the final evaluation meeting, General Manager Mi delivered an important speech. He first extended holiday greetings and best wishes to the young employees working on various fronts of the group company on behalf of the company leadership team! He warmly congratulated the young colleagues who won the first "ZTO Youth May Fourth Medal" and the advanced collectives and individuals who were recognized! Mi pointed out that in recent years, all cadres and employees of the group company have seized opportunities, worked hard, and made progress, leading to sustained and healthy development of various indicators of the group company. In 2013, the group company achieved revenue exceeding 5 billion yuan, marking a new era of development. In the first quarter of this year, the group company achieved a year-on-year increase of 10% in sales and 22% in profits, setting a new historical high. These achievements are the result of the hard work and sweat of all cadres and employees of the group company, reflecting the dedication and wisdom of the vast number of employees, especially the young employees who work diligently in their respective positions and are the driving force behind the group's development. Regarding the growth and success of young employees, Mi proposed four hopes: first, he hopes that outstanding young people will further liberate their minds and strive for progress; second, he hopes that outstanding young people will cherish their honors and continue to work hard; third, he hopes that young employees will focus on their jobs and create first-class achievements; fourth, he hopes that young employees will study diligently, master real skills, and develop strong abilities. Mi emphasized that young employees are the most valuable asset of the group company and an inexhaustible driving force for its development. As long as all cadres and employees unite closely, work diligently, innovate boldly, and strive for progress, fully leveraging the enthusiasm and creativity of young employees, and concentrating everyone's wisdom and strength on liberating thoughts and entrepreneurship, as well as on ZTO's leapfrogging and sustainable development, we will surely write a new chapter in the development of the group company and create new brilliance in its growth.
