The production department arranged normal production in the painting workshop. During the process of mixing primer, a worker accidentally knocked over a bucket of primer thinner, causing a leak. The thinner was collected and treated by the waste gas treatment facility, but the primer thinner containing n-butanol significantly affected the toluene data, leading to exceeding the standard. The data has been processed and returned to normal.

Upon verification, the amount of paint sprayed that night was not much, and no spraying operations were conducted during the exceeding standard period. However, there was an operation where the painter used thinner to clean the spray gun, and the excessive use of thinner led to exceeding the standard.

The paint sprayed at that time was weather-resistant paint, and mixing it with thinner resulted in exceeding the toluene data. Spraying was immediately stopped, but the short-term high data led to exceeding the hourly average.

(IV) Conclusion

After replacing the zeolite rotary, production this quarter has stabilized, and the phenomenon of waste exceeding standards has significantly decreased, with individual cases exceeding standards due to paint issues.
