After the night shift in the painting workshop, the machine continued to process waste gas for more than an hour (at least three hours required). Due to a temporary change in duty personnel, the shutdown time was insufficient, leading to residual waste gas in the pipeline causing toluene to exceed the standard in a short time. |

In order to rush the last batch of urgent export vehicle orders, the painting workshop operated at full capacity this afternoon, opening two spray booths. At the same time, due to the zeolite wheel having been in use for five and a half years, the processing efficiency has declined. When the toluene data was found to be too high, painting was immediately stopped, but the waste gas data did not drop immediately, leading to exceeding the hourly average. After the issue was clarified, the manufacturing department held a special meeting, requiring that before replacing the new wheel, both spray booths should not be opened simultaneously to prevent the exceeding standard issue from recurring. |

The reason for exceeding the standard is that after the Spring Festival, there was a loss of painting personnel, and a new painter was retrained. Due to insufficient experience and skills, the painting speed was too fast for about half an hour, causing the hourly average to exceed the standard. After discovering the problem, work was immediately stopped. |

2023On the morning of March 9, the hourly average value of xylene in the exhaust gas monitoring data of our company exceeded the standard. According to our company's schedule for the replacement of zeolite rotary wheel in the coating exhaust gas treatment facility, the equipment was started and debugged that day. After communication and verification with the operation and maintenance company, the pollution control facility was started and debugged, and the exhaust gas was discharged from the chimney. However, there was residual exhaust gas in the chimney, and the residual exhaust gas could not re-enter the combustion chamber or zeolite rotary wheel, leading to the exceedance. After communicating with the municipal bureau, measures were taken to strengthen the discharge of residual exhaust gas for a short time, and the data returned to normal. |

According to our company's schedule for the replacement of zeolite rotary wheel in the coating exhaust gas treatment facility, debugging operations were carried out on the zeolite rotary wheel equipment on the south side that day. The painting workshop did not produce, but there was residual exhaust gas in the south rotary room, and the residual exhaust gas could not be completely treated, leading to the exceedance. After stopping the debugging of the south rotary wheel on-site, the data returned to normal. |

(4) Conclusion
The replacement of the zeolite rotary wheel was completed from the end of February to the beginning of March, and then there was a separate exceedance of toluene. After testing, it was found that the online equipment analyzer malfunctioned. After approval, a backup machine was used, and the original machine was sent back to the manufacturer for repair.
