Zhongtong Bus becomes the leader in the South American market

Recently, 17 Zhongtong NAVIGATOR luxury buses are ready to set sail for delivery to users in Chile. An order of 20 Zhongtong Sunny buses for the Peruvian market is also in full production, with all deliveries expected by the end of August. An order of 20 Zhongtong Navigator DD buses for the Ecuadorian market will also begin production soon.
In recent years, due to the slowdown in economic development in South America, China's bus exports have been greatly affected. Nevertheless, Zhongtong Bus continues to achieve new developments thanks to its accumulated market reputation and strong product performance over the years. Several countries, including Chile, Paraguay, Peru, and Ecuador, have become representative markets for Zhongtong Bus.
According to the person in charge of Zhongtong Bus's South American market, the 17 orders from Chile are already the second batch of orders for Zhongtong Bus in the local area since 2016, with 20 orders delivered in the first half of the year. Since entering the Chilean market in 2006, Zhongtong Bus has surpassed 500 units in local market share, becoming the Chinese bus brand with the highest market share there. In Paraguay, Zhongtong Bus has a market share of 33%, making it the undisputed bus brand.
The continuous success in the South American market is attributed to Zhongtong Bus's correct development strategy in the region. As early as the beginning of its entry into the South American market, Zhongtong Bus positioned its products as high-end and chose already mature high-end models from China. In 2014, the Zhongtong NAVIGATOR successfully passed the EU (ECE) R13 braking and R107 large bus structural certification tests, including the current industry's strictest EU ESP test.
In Chile, Zhongtong Bus broke the long-standing monopoly of European and American brands in the market with the outstanding performance of the NAVIGATOR, gradually standing shoulder to shoulder with international giants. Now, after years of careful cultivation, the Zhongtong NAVIGATOR has become synonymous with luxury buses in South America, achieving a "double harvest" in market and reputation.
In April 2016, during the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Ecuador, Zhongtong Bus collaborated with local dealers to send over a hundred Zhongtong buses to participate in rescue efforts, many of which were derived from the Zhongtong NAVIGATOR, specifically the Zhongtong NAVIGATOR LD luxury bus. Zhongtong Bus, which withstood the test of harsh road conditions and severe natural conditions, successfully completed the rescue mission, further enhancing its reputation.
With the NAVIGATOR as the "pioneer", Zhongtong Bus continuously improves its product system in South America. Currently, it covers various product types including luxury buses, public transport, and double-decker buses, selling well in major countries such as Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Uruguay, maintaining an undisputed leading position in regional international competition. At the same time, influenced by the South American market, Zhongtong Bus's market footprint has also extended to Central and North American markets such as Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Costa Rica, the United States, and Canada.
