Zhongtong Steel Structure successfully hosted the 16th National Academic Seminar on Modern Structural Engineering. Commissioned by the China Steel Structure Association, the China Building Metal Structure Association, the Tianjin Science and Technology Association, the Tianjin Construction Industry Association, and the Tianjin Science and Technology Talent Activity Center, the seminar was jointly organized by Tianjin University and the Tianjin Steel Structure Society. It took place from July 22 to 24 at the Arcadia International Hot Spring Hotel in Liaocheng. Over 400 experts, scholars, and representatives from steel structure enterprises from across the country gathered in Liaocheng to discuss new technologies in modern structures and exchange new ideas.

Entrusted by the China Steel Structure Association, the China Building Metal Structure Association, the Tianjin Science and Technology Society, the Tianjin Construction Industry Association, and the Tianjin Science and Technology Talent Activity Center, the 16th National Modern Structural Engineering Academic Seminar, co-hosted by Tianjin University and the Tianjin Steel Structure Society and organized by Zhongtong Steel Structure Company, was held from July 22 to 24 at the Arcadia International Hot Spring Hotel in Liaocheng. More than 400 experts, scholars, and representatives from steel structure enterprises gathered in Liaocheng to discuss new technologies in modern structures, exchange new achievements, and look forward to the development and future of the steel structure industry.

On the morning of July 23 at 8:30, Professor Chen Zhihua, Executive Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 16th National Modern Structural Engineering Academic Seminar, Chairman of the Tianjin Steel Structure Society, hosted the opening ceremony and introduced the main leaders, experts, and scholars present. Tianjin University Professor Liu Xiliang, Liaocheng Vice Mayor Ren Xiaowang, Chinese Academy of Engineering Academician Jiang Huancheng, Chairman of Shanghai Jiang Huancheng Architectural Design Co., Ltd., Chinese Academy of Engineering Academician Ma Kejian, Director of the Space Structure Research Center of Guizhou University, and Zhongtong Group Chairman Li Shupeng and General Manager Mi Baolun were seated on the podium.

Liaocheng Vice Mayor Ren Xiaowang warmly congratulated the conference and sincerely welcomed all the guests, experts, and scholars attending. Li Ning, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the China Steel Structure Association, elaborated in detail on the connotation of vigorously developing steel structures from four aspects: response to national policies, research and development of steel structure technology, application, and talent cultivation.

Mi Baolun, General Manager of Zhongtong Group and Chairman of Zhongtong Steel Structure, expressed great honor in hosting this conference in his speech and warmly welcomed all representatives. Mr. Mi detailed the basic situation and recent achievements of Zhongtong Steel Structure Company, introduced the development goals of Zhongtong Steel Structure Company during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, and elaborated on the grand blueprint for the future development of Zhongtong Steel Structure from five aspects.

In the seminar held in the afternoon, Hu Shuqing, Deputy Director of the Design Institute of Zhongtong Steel Structure Company, was invited to give an academic report titled "Innovation and Practice of Steel Structure Green Buildings in Urbanization Construction," providing a detailed introduction from three aspects: green construction of steel structures and urbanization construction, the comprehensive strength of Zhongtong Steel Structure in green buildings, and the integrated innovation and practice of Zhongtong Steel Structure in urbanization construction.

On the eve of the conference, on July 22, Zhongtong Steel Structure Company also organized a special academic exchange meeting. The exchange meeting fully demonstrated the advanced level and strong strength of Zhongtong Steel Structure from aspects such as steel structure manufacturing equipment and the cultivation system of great country craftsmen, steel structure welding and precision control, and construction safety of complex steel structure projects.
